Honigkuchenpferde

In the world of musicians Elias and Johannes from Honigkuchenpferde, everything revolves around modern German pop songs for children. "German pop is played up and down on the family radios. We just wanted more music that is just as much fun, but where the kids are also at the center of the content," says singer Elias and, together with his bandmate, has brought together some of the most exciting German music writers and artists for their first joint Honigkuchenpferde album. The result: a modern sound with catchy tune potential that everyone can dance, laugh and celebrate to together. Their songs tell stories from the heart of family life. Always from a child's perspective and always with a clear message. Sometimes it's about everyday things like the difficulty of sitting still and important wiggly teeth, but also about the really big issues. Honigkuchenpferd is the result of a joint project with the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk. Elias and Johannes traveled all over Germany for "Ich darf das!" and wrote the official children's rights anthem together with hundreds of schoolchildren. "We want to make a difference with and beyond music," says producer Johannes, "and together with our guest artists, we also want to draw attention to the initiatives surrounding children's rights." Their band name is also their motto: For more grinning faces like a honey cake horse.
